Jen Martinsen is a Functional Nutritionist and a Certified Health Coach, certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She received her training from the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy based in Palm Harbor, FL receiving an education in a functional approach to health and nutrition. Here she studied a food as medicine approach for gut and gastrointestinal health, cardiometabolic symptoms and conditions, detoxification, obesity and weight management solutions, adrenal, thyroid, and hormonal dysfunction, and energy & pain disorders. She was also trained in conventional and functional labs, dietary supplements, and over 14 dietary therapies. Training included instruction from industry leaders such as Dr. Sheila Dean, Kathie Swift, MS, RDN, LDN, FAND, EBQ, Dr. Tom O’Bryan, Dr. Cynthia Geyer, and Dr. Deanna Minich.
At the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, NY, she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. David Katz, Dr. Walter Willett, and Dr. Mark Hyman and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
Jen Martinsen holds Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Oregon in Exercise and Movement Science and received clinical nutrition education from Oregon State University.
