apple cider tonic for sinus pain

Sinus pain? Then this is the recipe for you. This simple “food as medicine” recipe tastes great, is easy to make, and works! Apple Cider Tonic is a comforting beverage that is both antiviral and antibacterial. It will help to relieve that pressure in your sinuses, plus boost your immune system.

Like all herbal & food as medicine recipes, the results aren’t instantaneous. So don’t expect to drink once and be cured đŸ™‚  Enjoy this beverage 2-3 times a day for as long as you have symptoms.

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot water (not boiling)
  • 24 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar (I prefer Bragg’s Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp raw honey (I prefer Manuka honey for medicinal purposes, but any local raw honey will do)
  • Lemon juice
  • 1/81/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • {Optional} 1-inch fresh ginger root

Instructions

  1. First, make sure the water is not boiling before adding to the cup, as it will damage some of the healing properties of the ingredients.
  2. Add all ingredients above into a mug. Cover with a saucer or small plate.
  3. Allow to steep for 10-15 minutes.

Notes

  • Enjoy this drink often until cold and sinus symptoms go away. I typically will enjoy 2-3 times a day until symptom free.
